You know we’re pretty darn familiar with HotelTonight, and if you’re reading this you probably are too. Well the booking just got better, as the HotelTonight app is adding on a little something extra for your next stay—a virtual concierge.
HotelTonight is the latest company to go all in with tips, tricks, and other advice right from their mobile platform. They’re calling their version of thing Aces, and they describe it as an in-app chat feature that connects guests with their team of insiders. Advice includes insight from locals as well as recommendations, and they’re also helping out with hotel and room requests.
Things are available from the morning of check-in through your stay, so there’s plenty of time to stay connected. The magic behind Aces allows you to interact with someone on the other side, and it sounds like the goal is to pretty much get you what you want—within reason of course. The interface is set up very much like your phone’s text message app, so if you know how to text you should be all set to use it.
For now things are just starting to roll out, so only those lucky enough to have stays at properties in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and San Diego will have access to things. If you have access, you’ll get a little message within the HotelTonight app after booking, and then from there you are free to request as many pillows and towels as you might need.
As for us—we’re always good for calling down and requesting some toothpaste.
